Working primarily in acrylic paint on canvas, Yvonne seeks to capture the drama and poetry of the province. From the tranquil serenity of Jasper’s emerald lakes to the untamed spirit of the badlands, each artwork speaks of the stories and history woven into the fabric of the land, a reminder of the ancient rhythms that connect us beneath the modern worlds surface.
This body of work was drown from Yvonnes love of nature which surrounds us. From the brilliant skies and majestic mountains to the flowers that fill our gardens, nature has always been a countess source of inspiration.
Above the skies take on a role of their own. From soft hues to fiery sunsets, they serve as a backdrop for our lives, with the interplay of light, colour and atmosphere mirroring our own inner landscapes.
“Capturing Essence” is an invitation to slow down, to immerse oneself in the natural world through our art and reconnect, seeing the familiar which lies just beyond our doorstep with new eyes.

Yvonne Valdemarca is a Zimbabwean born artist. She studied fine arts in Durban, South Africa and has worked in the art world in a number of fields for many years before opening her own studio.
