Lauren McLaughlin is a visual artist living creatively in Edmonton.
Lauren sees the world in compositional snapshots, when the light is just right. Inspired by history that places hold, she represents stories captured in a moment of time and place.
Lauren seeks to produce unique, original pieces through line quality, expressive form, and adventurous palettes.
Lauren’s newest body of work titled, 'Radio Days’. Memories and stories are invited to soar in these Radio Day skies. This series of paintings are about energy and its atmospheric travels. The source of the energy may be the sun, or the moon, or anything that the viewer may imagine it to be, and the stories take expressive forms abstract time and space. Radio Days seeks to represent this big picture vibe in this small way.
